Storefront Collision
Description
This is a project I hold dear because I truly enjoyed working on it. For my first serious RBD project, I decided to take on something challenging—a car crashing into a shop. Being a technical project, I had just one month to complete it, so I focused entirely on the simulation without adding textures. I wanted to experiment with different materials, so I chose wood and glass to give the scene more variety and depth. However, due to the limited time, I couldn’t add as many details or elements as I would have liked. The process was meticulous, involving countless parts and constraints, which made it a demanding but highly rewarding experience. It taught me how to work more efficiently and procedurally, tackling complex setups step by step. After numerous attempts, I achieved a simulation I’m proud of, especially considering it was my first project where RBD was the main FX (other times I used simple sims). To add a final touch of realism, I incorporated pyro simulations for details like smoke and debris, enhancing the overall impact of the scene.
